Pihado kahit hindi pasko ‘pag naaalala mo ‘tong kantang ‘to hinahanap-hanap mo! Iba talaga ang pasko sa Pilipinas. Isa pa, magaling din talaga gumawa ng Station ID ang ABS-CBN. Ito para sa akin ang pinakamaganda sa lahat nang nagawa nila. Pero ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat ng ‘to: Advance Happy Birthday, Bro!

It is quite known to many that I admire Mr. John Lloyd Cruz. (Haha, kilig!) A friend visited my tumblr before and was in awe that I haven’t posted anything in his honor yet. My friend was like: I was expecting to come across an article about him. How come nothing yet? So for this dear friend, I am posting one of my favorite shots of Lloydy together with his then perennial screen partner Miss Bea Alonzo. This is not my favorite shot of them but this one comes close to second. Anyways, I started liking their team up since Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay and became a die-hard fanatic during Maging Sino Ka Man days. I love their movies Close to You and One More Chance. But I like Lloydy more ‘cause HE IS JUST SO GOOD! Lloydy is really such a cutie! He looks so boyish right? Parang malaking prep lang. Yihiii!!! ♥

Bago pa ito sumikat ay saulado ko na ang awiting ito. Ang kantang Kanlungan ng bandang Buklod na kinabibilangan ni Noel Cabangon, ay isa na ata sa pinakasikat na kanta sa UPLB lalo na sa dakong Forestry. Una ko ‘tong narinig sa unang linggo ko sa pinagpipirmihang kong dormitoryo. Actually sa shower ko siya unang narinig; habang kinakanta ng isang upperclassman. Masasabi kong isa ito sa pinakapaborito kong kanta. Simple lang kasi siya pero maaapektuhan ka talaga, kahit hanggang ngayon. Dati mas kilala ko ‘to na kanta ng Buklod at hindi pa ni Noel Cabangon. Tanda ko pa, nag-record ako nito sa isang cassette tape. Kinopya ko yung isang buong album ng dormmate ko. Sa palagay ko, ang kantang ito ay kagaya nang buhay natin, madaming nagbabago pero pagnapapaisip tayo ng mga nakaraan nagbabalik ang mga damdaming dati ay naroon. May masaya, may nakakalungkot. Malipas ang ilang taon pagkatapos kong makatapos, nakita ko si Noel Cabangon. Nakakatuwa nga, nagkita kami sa simbahan sa may amin. Nakatira lang pala siya sa kabilang village. Malapit lang. Proud ako kasi parang kapitbahay ko lang pala siya. Misa ‘yun ng bagong taon, kasama niya rin ang buo niyang pamilya, sila ang naghandog noon sa offertory. Di talaga ako noon nakatiis, pagkatapos ng misa nilapitan ko siya at kinamayan, Hi Sir, Hello po, fan po pala ako ng Buklod. Hanggang ngayon pagnaalala ko ‘yun sumasaya ulit ako. Isang beses pa lang kasi ako lumapit sa isa kong hinahangaan. ‘Yun pa lang sa ngayon.

I am not really a fan of my own pictures or most pictures that I have taken. But I really like this photo of me which was taken around two or three years ago. The sun was setting then giving a very good color to my skin. I just love how rosy I look in this. I am not wearing make-up in here by the way. This was already a cropped photo to give emphasis to me and the knight. Narcissistic me! ;)
Aside from her incredible talent, Miss Lea Salonga too is a very beautiful woman. She is now at forty and still look gorgeous! Not to mention her beauty is also at par with Hollywood legends Grace Kelly (at left) and Audrey Hepburn (at right). Can you see their resemblance with her? Quite uncanny, isn’t it? ♥♥♥
